3 The Precambrian Period
In the shallow sea, bluish-green bacteria form large limestone structures: the stromatolites. Experience the early microbial biosphere in ultraviolet light.

4 The late Precambrian and the Cambrian
The first larger organisms appear.
Models of jellyfish, predatory arthropods and microplankton provide a good impression of the early multicellular life.

5 Silurian Period
Immerse yourself in the world of the prehistoric oceans. Our journey through prehistoric landscapes begins here in the cavern of a 420-million-year-old coral reef.

6 Devonian Period
The first animal and plant forms venture from the sea onto land - into a world dating back 400 million years before the modern era.

7 Carboniferous Period
Traverse the damp and misty carboniferous swamp forest illuminated by the tropical sun - the habitat of giant dragonflies and millipedes.

8 Permian Period
Pass through a deep, narrow canyon in the semi-desert and experience the violent forces of nature at first hand.

9 Triassic Period
This is the start of the dinosaur era: voracious crocodile-like saurians lie in wait for their prey in the swampy river bed..

10 Jurassic Period
The 150-million-year-old reef landscape is reminiscent of the South Seas today. But don’t underestimate the hidden danger of this quiet and peaceful-looking lagoon.

11 Early Cretaceous Period
Antarctic light illuminates the night sky of this icy winter landscape. Dinosaurs protect themselves from the bitter cold in a hollow tree trunk.

12 Late Cretaceous Period
Here you will find one of the largest and most dangerous predators of the prehistoric era. Tyrannosaurus watches over its freshly killed prey and defends its territory aggressively and menacingly.

13 4D-cinema
Witness the extinction of the last dinosaurs. This is where our 4.5 billion year journey through the history of the Earth comes to an end.

14 Interactive zone
